Client Brief
We were approached by a local architect to design a bespoke kitchen that would reflect a modern Scandinavian aesthetic – clean, minimal and highly functional. The client wanted a space that felt warm and natural, yet precise and contemporary.
Design Approach
Our response was a kitchen that balances bold simplicity with refined craftsmanship. The main cabinetry run features hand-selected, rough sawn veneer with seamless grain matching and floor-to-ceiling doors. A full-length bespoke oak handle runs across the units, anchoring the design with a strong Scandinavian character.

- Hidden Breakfast Bar: Concealed behind pivot pocket doors, offering a practical yet elegant solution for morning routines.
- Integrated Appliances: Includes a full-height pull-out larder, fridge/freezer, and two Neff hide-and-slide ovens.
- Secret Door: Discreetly integrated into the cabinetry, leading to a back kitchen for added functionality.
Working Drawings
Island & Sink Run
Constructed using Egger Perfect Sense boards, chosen for their anti-fingerprint and anti-scratch properties. The oak handles continue across this section for visual consistency. Though the run appears to be a bank of drawers, we crafted matching door fronts to maintain the illusion.

- Gas Hob with Pop-Up Extractor: Sleek and space-saving, positioned centrally on the island.
- Quartz Worktop & Solid Oak Breakfast Bar: Durable surfaces paired with natural warmth, ideal for cooking and entertaining.
- Built-In Wine Fridge: Seamlessly integrated into the island for convenience and style.
Outcome
The Lahill Kitchen is a celebration of natural materials, hidden innovation and precision detailing. Every element was carefully considered to create a space that feels both timeless and tailored – true to the TRS ethos of bespoke interiors that elevate everyday living.
